Lucas Imbiriba starts his guitar studies at the age of 10 at the Conservatório Carlos Gomes (Brazil) having lessons with Antonio Carlos and Salomao Habib After finishing his conservatory studies in 2001, he is admitted at the Pará State University (UEPA) with Aloisio Laurindo Junior and Sydney Molina. In 2002 he goes to Barcelona (Spain) to have lessons with Iliana Matos, at the Escola Luthier. After being admitted at the ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Barcelona) he studies with Zoran Dukic and Àlex Garrobé. In 2006 he moves to Germany to study his Meisterklass Diplom with Prof. Franz Halasz at the Nuernberg-Augsburg Musik Hochschule, concluding it in 2008 with highest marks. In 2009 he started a Master in Classical Guitar with Prof. Mathias Seidel at the Mozarteum University, in Salzburg, finishing the studies in 2011. Also Lucas has assisted to the master classes of José Miguel Moreno, Eduardo Isaac, Marco Socias and Marco Smaili.

- 1st prize in the IX Souza Lima guitar competition (SP-Brasil, 1998),
- 1st prize in the II José Tomás Villa de Petrer guitar competition (Alicante-Spain, 2003),
- 1st prize in the VII “Festival de Jóvenes Intérpretes de Barcelona” guitar category (Barcelona-Spain, 2003)
- 1st prize in the VII Vila de Salou guitar competition (Salou-Spain, 2004)
- 1st prize in the Catalan contemporary music in the X music competition L’Arjau (Barcelona-Spain, 2005)
- 1st prize in the IV Premis Tutto Demestres de la ComRadio (Barcelona-Spain, 2005)
- 1st prize in the Villa de Aranda Guitar competition (Aranda de Duero-Spain, 2005)
- 1st prize in the II Valle de Eguez Guitar Competition (Navarra – Spain, 2007)
Lucas has offered concerts in Brazil, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Trinidad & Tobago, USA and Russia. He has played in the VII “Semana de la guitarra de Petrer”, in the XVI and XVII “Festival de guitarras de Barcelona” and has played in Concert Halls like the Teatro da Paz (Brazil), L’Auditori de Barcelona (Spain), Nikolaisaal (Germany), Stefaniensaal (Austria) and Krasnoyarsk Hall (Russia). In 2005 he released his first CD called “Contra las Cuerdas” by the Spanish discography D+3, recording that received 5 star critics from the newspaper “El Peridodic”. In 2006 he performed the premiere of the Concerto for Electric guitar and orchestra by Sergi Casanellas, piece dedicated to Lucas and perfomed with David Albet Orchestrain at L’Auditori de Barcelona. In 2008 he was invited to take part as a Jury Member at the III Eguez Guitar Competition, in Spain. In January 2009 he was invited to play at the 31st Summer Festival of EMB (Brazil) and at the World Social Forum (Brazil), event that included names such as Seu Jorge, Manu Chao, presidents of all Latin American Nations and more than sixty thousand visitors. From 2008 to 2011, Lucas has been invited to perform various Concertos for Guitar and Orchestra with the Brandenburguishes Staatsorchester, Grosses Orchester Graz, Jena Philarmonic , Krasnoyarsk Philarmonic and Neu Brandenburg Pilharmonie. In July 2011, Lucas performed a solo concert in the Winners & Master Festival celebrated at Gasteig, Munich. Lucas Imbiriba was the first classical guitarist to perform in this Music Festival. In September 2011, Lucas Toured in Trinidad & Tobago, performing both classical and folk music. In February 2012 Lucas toured through Russia and Asia performing solo and in Trio with Alexander Vinistky and Mikhail Smirnof. *Besides his career as a classical musician, Lucas has a Rock/Funk/Latin Fusion project called the Lucas Cesar Expedition (Cesar is his second name). The group perform songs written by Lucas in English and Portuguese. Having performing in various cities of Germany, the group promoted in August 2011 his first Tour. With the name “Costa Europa Tour” ,the Tour started in Portugal, crossing Spain and France, ending in Rome, Italy.
